A Welcoming Space for Honoring Life Events
For almost 200 years, our Unitarian Universalist Church has been a gathering place for the spiritual, social, cultural, and civic life of our members, our Woodstock community, and friends and visitors from around the world.
People of all religious backgrounds and orientations are warmly welcome in our historic church, which offers a sacred space for Sunday services, wedding ceremonies, memorials, holidays, and concerts.
Located within walking distance of the picturesque Woodstock green and covered bridge, North Chapel offers a variety of spaces and amenities for events from large weddings, memorial services and concerts to small elopements, meetings, and workshops.

Turn left and down a few steps to see the first floor Parlor and Library. Head down the large staircase on the right to view the ground floor Social Hall and Kitchen. Step outside and to the left through the side entrance to see our new Meditation Chapel.

Event Rentals
North Chapel has a variety of spaces for all types of events. Our beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces were renovated in 2009-2010 and are ADA compliant/accessible:
Historic church with bell tower and working bell cast by Paul Revere’s foundry
Simple, beautiful Sanctuary, light-filled by day and elegant at night
Riverside Garden along the Ottauquechee River, suitable for a tent, with a stone, wood-fired pizza oven at one side
Small Meditation Chapel with separate entrance, for small ceremonies and elopements
Parlor and Library available for small events and meetings
Social Hall with Kitchen suitable for serving prepared food
Superb acoustics and performance-quality music and sound options
Off-street parking
Easy load in and out for all spaces

Couples of all religious backgrounds and orientations are welcome at North Chapel, and we are pleased to have you consider our church for your wedding celebration.

The North Chapel is completely ADA compliant. A ramp in the front of the Church provides direct access to the Sanctuary. Hearing assistance/aids are available within the sanctuary.
A small elevator located behind the Sanctuary provides movement between the upper level (Sanctuary, Parlor, Library and Church Offices) and the lower level (Social Hall, Kitchen, Meditation Chapel, Classrooms, Riverside Garden and parking area).
Restrooms are accessible on all levels and doorways to all rooms are ADA compliant.
