Membership

Becoming a Member of North Universalist Chapel Society

The decision to become a member of is significant, indicating a willingness to share your time, talents and resources with the church.

Membership in our church is open to all aged 18 and over.

People wishing to join sign the Membership Book in the presence of a current member.

We encourage all those considering membership to participate in our “New UU” classes held each year.

The three classes focus on the history of our church, committees and structure of North Chapel, and a discussion of UU principles and beliefs, led by our minister.

You will have the opportunity to meet with church leaders and current members.

Our minister, Rev. Dr. Leon Dunkley, is available by appointment to discuss our faith and answer any questions you may have.

Recognition Sunday is generally held in early June when new members are recognized and welcomed by the congregation. However, for those wishing to join the church at a different point in the year, the Membership Book may be signed at any time.

The Membership Committee is available to assist new members in becoming acquainted and getting involved in the life of our church.
